Set Up the mySparkrock Web Application
The mySparkrock web application has the following components:
Front end web application: This component is the user interface.
Middleware API application: This component communicates with the core Sparkrock 365 product.
The front end application has some configurable settings that control the capabilities of mySparkrock. If changes to these setting are required, typically, a Sparkrock support representative performs these changes.
MySparkrockWebForms application settings
Several behaviors can be enabled through the deployed MySparkrockWebForms site's application settings:
Name | Required | Value |
---|---|---|
ApiBaseURL | Yes | Points to the middleware API that communicates with the core Sparkrock 365 solution. |
AppTitle | Yes | Sets the web application name which displays on the login screen and in the upper left corner of every portal web page. The default value is mySparkrock. |
AppTitle_fr | No | Sets the web application name which displays on the French section of the login screen, if enabled. |
enable_fr | No | If present and set to true, this setting causes the one or more login panels for French language users to appear on the log in page. This setting is set to false by default. Using these buttons to log in causes the portal web pages to display in French Canadian mode, including test, dates, and currency markers. Note: While mySparkrock is localization ready, not all pages may be fully translated into French in your deployment. |
enable_Google | No | If this setting is set to true, the login panel includes a button to sign in with the Google Gmail API. If this setting is set to false, only Microsoft Azure ActiveDirectory logins are supported. Note: mySparkrock is designed primarily for use with Azure ActiveDirectory. Google Gmail API support is primarily meant for consultant use during the project phase and for QA/UAT purposes. |
Welcome page banner
The Welcome page's default banner can be replaced with a background image of your choosing. The default image, landing_picture.png, is located in the images subdirectory of the MySparkrockWebForms site. You can replace this image with another image that has a Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format. The new image must use the same file name.
