New features and changes
mySparkrock 2022 release wave 1 introduces exciting new features and enhancements to existing functionality.
Terminology change from Entitlement to Accrual
To make mySparkrock consistent with the terminology that is commonly used in Canada and US markets, this release changes all references of Entitlement to Accrual.
Home Phone and employee self-identification fields on the Profile page
On the Profile page, this release introduces the following fields:
Home Phone: Specifies the employee's home phone number.
Preferred Language: Specifies the employee's preferred language.
Preferred Pronoun: Specifies the pronoun by which the employee would like to be identified.
Gender: Specifies the gender by which the employee identifies.
New functional areas on the Notifications page
Due to the new purchase document approval functionality in Sparkrock 365, this release introduces the following functional areas on the Notifications page:
Purchase Requisitions
Payment Requests
Expense Claims
Purchase Orders
Purchase Invoices
Purchase Credit Memos
Note
Note: The Purchase Order, Purchase Invoice, and Purchase Credit Memo options only appear when the dimension approval workflow for the respective document is enabled in Sparkrock 365, on the Finance Approval Setup page.

Defects corrected
The following sections include information about the defects that have been corrected in mySparkrock 2022 release wave 1.
T4 tax forms appear before T4 report is run
When you choose My Self Service > Tax Forms, T4 tax forms appear for 2022 even though the T4 Report has not been run for the year of 2022 in Sparkrock 365.
Resolution
The respective T4 tax forms now only appear in mySparkrock after the T4 Report is run in Sparkrock 365 for the applicable year.
Benefit Information is not displayed correctly on Admin & Benefits page
On the Admin & Benefits page, in the Benefit Information section, multiple rows appear that display the same data and other data is missing.
Resolution
The Benefit Information section now displays the correct information.
Invalid error appears in the browser when deleting an expense claim
On the Expenses and Claims page, when you try to delete an expense claim, the following invalid error appears in the browser console:
"StatusCode":500,"Message":"A non-empty request body is required. Trace Id:400001dd-0006-f500-b63f-84710c7967bb"
Resolution
Now, when you delete an expense claim, an invalid error does not appear in the browser console.
